So for your birthday, you will be good as new, right? What is supposed to happen post-op? Will there be more, like chemo? What is the recovery supposed to be like? Laparoscopic doesn’t sound too bad. How is your dad? And the kids? I just think about you all the time and I know God has not given you more than you can bear, but like Mother Teresa, I still wish He didn’t expect so much of you.
My friend Sue, from my moms’ group and choir at church who has been battling pancreatic cancer for about 21 months now (I think I may have told you about her) has been exchanging daily emails with her two adult daughters everyday since she got her diagnosis. They share a daily devotional/verse, something they’ve learned that day, something they’re thankful for, and a song for the day. Sue says it takes her no more than 15 minutes each day to do and she just loves reading what she gets back from her daughters. Since your daughter still lives with you, and you don’t have any sisters, I was thinking maybe your college roommate would suffice if you’d like to do something like that while you’re on this journey. Let me know…I’d love to do it with you!
