Did I tell you about the surgery in Richmond?
Needless to say….getting ready for a week or more in Richmond and getting the kids farmed out for part of that and ready for camp has been keeping me busy. It’s actually a good thing…everything has fallen into place pretty well. Thank God for my brothers. I leave Tuesday morning…
My surgery is scheduled for July 16 at 7:30am at Henrico Doctors Hospital in Richmond.
My brothers Patrick and Mike (conveniently a hospital CEO and gastroenterologist there) expedited the process. I will have the two best surgeons in Richmond working on me. In fact, one of them has done more lapropscopic colon resections than anyone on the East Coast. So I will get the VIP treatment. I’ll lose 10 inches of colon, but I have plenty to spare. 
My dad and I will go ahead of Joel and the kids for pre-op testing. The kids will spend the weekend with their cousins then Joel will drive them to sleepaway camp.
